Zoom H2 Review by Spencer Perry of Saybrook Recently I had the opportunity to demo and review the Zoom H2 courtesy of X-TREMEGEEK.com. www.x-tremegeek.com When I first unpackaged the zoom h2, I found that it was a very well packaged device; everything was well organized and neatly laid out. It even had tons of information about it on the box. The recorder though looked a little too plain. Samson’s website says, “The H2 is the only portable recorder with 4 mic capsules on-board for 360° recording. With 4 mic capsules in a W-X/Y configuration, the audio is decoded instantly, bring...... Hello All,
Sorry about some of the bugs on the site lately... I believe they are all fixed now. The problem was growing pains.. As the site gets larger I moved it to a newer faster server and that seemed to break a few things. Now I've got them all working and the forums are faster than they were a month ago by far.
Welcome to all of the new users as well! We are nearing the 200 member milestone and I'm very appreciative of any members on here. I hope to be putting on some more tools into the website soon that will benefit musicians and bands alike. Thats all I'll say for now b...... Read More

Hello gang, Well...nothing ventured...nothing gained right? I'm wandering out in new territory here on the site.. I'm developing the first version of a very basic musician skills assessment test (MSAT?). The idea is to have members fill out a voluntary skills assessment test, this should help us in the following ways: I will know more about the members skills so I know what kind of and how advanced the music lessons should be when I get to putting in music lessons. Pretty soon after I finish the test and get feedback from everyone, I'm going to work on building a way so we ca...... Read More

Getting sheet music today is much easier than it was 15 years ago. Back than, I had to go to the otherside of town for the nearest music store hoping that my song would be available as sheet music selection was limited. Now with the internet, all the great classical pieces areavailable and easily accessible. And there's no better place to downloadclassical music than Virtual Sheet Music
You can purchase eachsong piece individually, or, get the membership and have unlimited downloads to over 5,000 songs for $37.75. Given the very high price of sheet music, this offer certainly represents g...... Read More

Hello All,Ok it's finally here! I've been coding on the musicians directory for almost a month now.. It replaced the old link directory and is (for now at least) just being called "Directory" on the left hand menu. In it you will find tons of websites and website reviews for products pertaining to musicians!Go ahead and add in your bands website and any other music related website that you think would help the users here. Note that you must be logged in to add reviews and add new websites. You will need a MusiciansForums.com account in order to do reviews or add new links out...... Read More

Hello All,Matt here... I just would like to officially announce the new chat room is finally online! Just click on chat in the menu on the left to access it. You must be logged in to use it though. In addition to chatting about everyday things, in the future I think it would be cool if we could get some guest speakers in here (from well known bands) to go into the chat room at a specified time and talk with fans and answer questions.Any guest chats will first be announced here on the blog and then put on the calendar also. Thanks!-Matt
